A Response from Roger ChristiePosted by Mickey Martin on December 23rd, 2011
Roger Christie sent a response out after reading the article posted here yesterday. His response is one of courage and honor, and I can respect that. I understand Roger’s outlook on the situation, but it is still such bullshit that he is being held with no bail. I appreciate Roger’s willingness to fight this head on and change the world. Roger Christie inspires me. Here is his message:

Hello out there,
Aloha to thee. Thanks to Don E, Paul and Victoria for helping to make this article happen. I invite you to comment on the blog roll if you feel like it.
Does zero fair bail = zero fair trial? Makes a guy wonder …
I hope my situation w/o bail and our Green Fourteen indictments serve as a bright mirror on the government’s prohibition of Cannabis. We hope to turn the spotlight around on Congress and the agencies of government that prosecute this immoral and un-constitutional situation. The time is ripe for change.
‘Marijuana’ is a ‘false-flag’ mongrel word from the Mexican American war in the late 1800′s. It’s as if the KKK designed and has been running this operation from the racist mindset of a century ago. Nixon’s White House tapes help to show that he wanted a ‘war on marijuana’ users to silence his critics during the Vietnam war; he was after hippies, student protesters, long-hairs, Jews, psychologists. WTFlip? :-O Hear him for yourself. Timothy Leary’s 1969 case in the U.S. Supreme Court had overturned and declared the 1937 Marijuana Tax Act un-Constitutional … Nixon was burning inside with hatred and revenge to create a new anti-Cannabis law that would stand any challenge. That was 1971 and we’re still living with the ghost of Tricky Dicky … until we end it.
For whatever reasons, I feel that the government needs to hear from me / us with motions and possibly a trial if the Motions don’t free us first. I zero fear prison. What I do fear is denying this golden opportunity to tell my truth, our truth to our government and to the public through the media.
Here’s one of many thoughts I have that motivates me to reject the plea bargain; A few years down the road Share and I meet our Judge Leslie Kobayashi at a casual dinner party. She tells us that she was sad that we took the plea deal because she was secretly wanting to meet us and to hear our defense so that she could help us to end the disastrous war on drugs. :-O
This situation is one of the greatest opportunities for a pro-Cannabis hemp activist I can imagine. We’ve been chosen to be in the ring for the championship fight of the decade. I feel blessed to be here. Really. And so it is.
Thanks for your friendship, kindness and support.
All the best fantasies to you,
Roger

I had the privilege of meeting Roger Christie when I was in Hawaii. This is a true American hero. If anybody tells me there are no political prisoners in the US, they are lying. Free Roger Christie and all the Cannabis POW’s along with Bradley Manning, Leonard Peltier, Mumia Abu Jamal and all other US political prisoners. Bring them home.
